Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Foster served as chief operating officer of Olson and Associates, a regional development firm. As such, he was charged with restructuring the operations and redirecting the company during the market downturn. Prior to Olson and Associates, Mr. Foster served in positions of increasing responsibility at Morrison Homes, starting as director of finance in Phoenix, leading to corporate controller in Atlanta and ultimately vice president of operations in Tampa and Sarasota.
Before that, Mr. Foster was initially hired at UDC Homes as director of finance for the California region and rose to the position of corporate controller. He was instrumental in developing and implementing a successful financial restructuring plan for the regional builder and providing an orderly transition as the company emerged from bankruptcy.
Having started his real estate career as an internal auditor for Fairfield Communities, Mr. Foster concluded his nine year tenure as chief financial officer of its homebuilding subsidiary, where he oversaw its successful emergence from bankruptcy. Mr. Foster holds a B.A. in business from Hendrix College. Mr. Foster is a certified general contractor in Florida and a certified home builder in Alabama. He is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Foster serves as an at-large member of the NAHB’s sales and marketing council and is a candidate for membership in the Institute of Residential Marketing. He was also recognized as a Gold Medal winner by the Arizona Society for Certified Public Accountants for outstanding achievement. |
