He has extensive consulting experience in the areas of restructuring/bankruptcy, strategic planning, performance improvement, due diligence, expert witness litigation, and valuation. While his primary focus is in the United States, Mr. Spragg has advisory services experience in the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Mexico. Examples of his engagements include due diligence for a private equity firm on the acquisition of a mobile carrier; advising an investor group bidding to buy the incumbent phone company of a Caribbean country with wireline and mobile networks; performing profit improvement analysis for a large regional local exchange carrier; performing financial and operational due diligence for a UK-based broadband service provider; and completing several due diligence engagements for a national wireless carrier acquiring smaller wireless companies.
Mr. Spragg was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers before it sold the U.S. division of the Business Recovery Services group to FTI in 2002. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, he held management positions with cellular/PCS companies, where he gained experience in a broad range of financial and operational areas. Mr. Spragg was also an auditor at the public accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick, where he performed audits and internal control reviews for a variety of companies.
Mr. Spragg holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.A. in business administration from California State University at Fullerton. He is a certified public accountant in California and the District of Columbia, is Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor by the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. Mr. Spragg serves as an executive professorial lecturer at Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business, where he teaches a course on corporate restructuring to graduate students. |
